As ACSOT, we have taken a proactive step in addressing the communication challenges between civil society organizations (CSOs) in Tigray and government representatives. To facilitate effective communication and dialogue, we have prepared a GO-NGO Forum Discussion, a platform specifically designed to bring together CSOs and government representatives. The primary objective of this workshop is to simplify and streamline the previous communication problems that hindered productive engagement between CSOs and the government. By organizing this forum, we aim to foster mutual understanding, improve coordination, and create an enabling environment for collaborative efforts.
During the GO-NGO Forum Discussion, representatives from CSOs and government agencies come together to engage in open and constructive dialogue. The workshop provides a neutral space where both parties can express their perspectives, concerns, and recommendations. By facilitating this exchange, we seek to bridge the communication gap, build trust, and promote effective partnerships between CSOs and the government.
The discussions held during the workshop cover a wide range of topics, including policy issues, program implementation, resource allocation, and advocacy efforts. Through facilitated sessions, participants have the opportunity to share experiences, highlight challenges, and explore potential solutions collaboratively. The workshop also serves as a platform for CSOs to present their work, showcase their impact, and emphasize the importance of their contributions to the development of Tigray. By organizing the GO-NGO Forum Discussion, ACSOT demonstrates its commitment to enhancing communication channels and promoting collaboration between CSOs and the government. We recognize that effective dialogue and engagement are essential for addressing societal challenges, improving governance, and achieving sustainable development in Tigray.
The Alliance of Civil Society Organizations of Tigray (ACSOT) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan and multi-sector regional CSOs consortium founded in 2007 G.C. and re-registered as per the proclamation of CSOs Proclamation No. 1113/2019 as an Ethiopian Regional consortium. Currently, ACSOT embraces 72 national and regional CSOs operating allover Tigray.
