📚 Training on Creditworthiness & Digital Record Keeping Empowers

Following the successful launch of the Tigray Women Business Resource Center, ACSOT, in collaboration with CIPE and TWEA, hosted a practical training session titled “Creditworthiness & Digital Record Keeping” on June 21, 2025 – June 22,2025.
The training brought together 31 women entrepreneurs from diverse sectors across the region which are Mekelle, Axum, Adigrat, Abi Adi, Wukro, Maichew, and Adi Shuhu. Participants gained hands-on knowledge in key areas including:
Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and real-life case studies, the women were equipped with essential skills to help them access finance, organize their records, and build more bankable businesses.
We also invited some financial institutions (FIs) in Mekelle to present their women‐focused loan products and the requirements women entrepreneurs need to fulfil to access credits from their respective FI. Accordingly, CBE Mekelle District, Oromia Cooperative Bank Tigray District, Semien Microfinance, and Amigos SACCO Tigray District conducted brief presentations and we had also brief interactive sessions as well. These discussions were concluded with agreement initiate collaboration that may lead to strategic partnership between TWEA and the respective FIs.

The Alliance of Civil Society Organizations of Tigray (ACSOT) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan and multi-sector regional CSOs consortium founded in 2007 G.C. and re-registered as per the proclamation of CSOs Proclamation No. 1113/2019 as an Ethiopian Regional consortium. Currently, ACSOT embraces 72 national and regional CSOs operating allover Tigray.
