ACSOT and IRI Collaborate for Successful Advocacy Training in Tigray In a joint initiative aimed at strengthening civil society organizations in Tigray, the International Republican Institute (IRI) partnered with the Alliance of Civil Society Organizations of Tigray (ACSOT) to organize a highly successful two-day advocacy training session conducted at the Zemarias Hotel in Mekelle on January 26th and 27th, 2024, the training drew 36 participants from civil society organizations operating in Tigray. Facilitated by IRI and AVSOT, the training provided comprehensive insights into advocacy preparation and design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Emphasizing a blend of conceptual understanding and practical application, each session of the seven key topics included engaging group work, presentations, and interactive question-and-answer sessions. This collaborative effort underscores a commitment to empowering civil society and fostering impactful advocacy endeavors in the region.
